HDPE Films with PAS

permanent anti-static safety

long-term protection

The permanent antistatic agents are evenly dispersed throughout the film mass, so that the antistatic protection remains stable throughout its lifetime. It does not lose its effectiveness even with prolonged use or repeated packaging.

proven quality

MIKROTEN® is a symbol of reliability in Central European markets. By choosing this brand you get a blown HDPE film with a long tradition and proven quality.

Czech exclusivity

As the only manufacturer of this type of film in the Czech Republic, we offer a solution that combines technological maturity, precise workmanship and the Packaging of the Year award.

mikroten® m*s

Conventional plastic films often generate electrostatic discharge (ESD). This limits the usefulness of these films as a packaging material for many applications. MIKROTEN® M*S film containing permanent antistatic (PAS) was primarily developed for packaging explosives. It can be used in the electrical industry for packaging a wide range of products (e.g. electronics with integrated circuits) that can be damaged by electrostatic discharge. The permanently anti-static film can also be used in the food industry for the packaging of powdered materials. The film can be used as a blank for the production of other packaging (bags, sacks, hoses, shirt bags or other products). There is no other producer of these special films in the Czech Republic.

The advantages of MIKROTEN® M*S film with permanent antistatic include eliminating the risk of damage to electronic components, eliminating the risk of explosion in hazardous areas (e.g. gassy mines), increasing the visibility of the packaged product, eliminating the risk of explosion when packaging flammable powders, reducing waste due to reduced contamination of seals, reducing the level of contamination in clean rooms.

Permanent antistatic agents (PAS) are ionomer type polymers. PAS are permanent and safely effective over time, as well as effective at low humidity. They do not form a surface layer, but the agents are throughout the material, so there is no risk of them migrating and disappearing over time as is the case with standard antistatics.

The effectiveness of PAS does not depend on the thickness of the product, they can be added even to thin outer layers. They are transparent and colourless, do not cause corrosion and do not pollute.

mikroten®

MIKROTEN® is the protected trade name for single-layer blown HDPE films, which are the best known product trademark in Granitol’s modern history. The brand has become a symbol for this type of product in Central European countries, similar to the generalization of the Xerox or Lux brands. The product was awarded the Packaging of the Year award for its properties.

It is produced in several types which differ in their mechanical properties depending on the type of material used. In addition to their thermal resistance to temperatures of -50 °C to +110 °C, these films are resistant to most common chemicals, do not cause corrosion of the packaged goods and can be welded. The films are waterproof, moisture resistant and have minimal vapour and odour permeability. They are very low in oxygen, fat and aromatic substances. Prolonged exposure to the sun causes gradual degradation of the films due to UV radiation. The lifetime of the film can be extended at the customer’s request by adding suitable additives. The value of the surface resistance is variable within a certain range depending on the amount of permanent antistatic. The antistatic effect is permanent.

Packaging

The rolls are packed in a cut and placed horizontally or vertically on a pallet, protected and fixed with stretch film or palletising bag.

Ecology

100% recyclable, unobjectionable for environment, films can be deposited in dumps or combusted – no harmful substances appear.

Contact with foodstuffs

Not suitable for direct contact with food.
