HDPE Films MIKROTEN®

versatile and durable packaging

Proven Brand

The MIKROTEN® brand has long been synonymous with reliability in Central European markets, much like iconic brands such as Xerox.

Tradition and Innovation

This film is a proven choice thanks to its long tradition, references from satisfied customers and the constant pursuit of innovation.

Economical Solution

The 0.006 mm thickness is up to 15 times thinner than a human hair, which means less material consumption, lower transport and storage costs, and environmental friendliness.

HDPE FILM mIKROTEN®

MIKROTEN® films are used for packaging of a wide range of products (food, technical items, printed materials, etc.), as well as for the production of other packaging (bags, T-shirt bags, paper bags with PE liner, wrapping paper with HDPE film). These films are also used as a component for the production of many types of cold and hot bitumen strips.

The protected trade name MIKROTEN® for single layer blown HDPE films is the most well-known product trademark in Granitol’s history. The brand has become a symbol for this type of product in Central European countries, similar to the generalization of the Xerox or Lux brands.

MIKROTEN®

MIKROTEN® is produced in several types, which differ in their mechanical properties depending on the type of material used. In addition to their thermal resistance to temperatures from -50 °C to +110 °C, these films are resistant to most common chemicals, do not corrode packaged goods and can be welded. They are waterproof and moisture resistant. They have a minimum permeability to water vapour and odours. Oxygen, fats and aromatics are very low permeable. When the film is exposed to sunlight for a long period of time, it is gradually degraded by UV radiation. Their lifetime can be extended by adding suitable additives at the customer’s request.

Packaging

The rolls are packed in a PE sheets and placed on the pallet horizontally or vertically, protected and fixed with stretch film or palletising bag.

Ecology

100% recyclable, unobjectionable for environment, films can be deposited in dumps or combusted – no harmful substances appear.

Contact with foodstuffs

Suitable for direct contact with food in the natural version, in the coloured version with a pigment content up to the concentration specified by the manufacturer.
