Partner for Innovative Packaging Solutions

GRANITOL akciová společnost is the largest manufacturer of blown polyethylene films in the Czech Republic. However, the company’s business activities extend far beyond the Czech Republic. A significant part of the production is exported to the countries of Central, Eastern and Western Europe.

The product portfolio includes films for palletizing, films for group packaging, films for the production of boil-in bag films, construction films, technical and cover films, hygienic disposables films, laminated films, laminated bags for Pet Food and HDPE films MIKROTEN®. LDPE and HDPE films are also used as a semi-finished product for the production of final products such as packaging films, bags, T-shirt bags and cuttings. Professional printing with up to 10 colours is provided on our own flexographic printing machines.

granitol operates in europe

Granitol has also been developing its activities in foreign markets for a long time. In addition to our stable position in the Czech Republic, we operate through local teams and sales offices in Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and Poland. This brings us closer to our business partners in the CEE region and enables us to respond quickly and flexibly to their specific needs.

Everywhere we operate, we build on the same values: expertise, individual approach and long-term partnership. We design customisedpackaging solutions under one roof – from development through printing to final processing. Even beyond the borders of the Czech Republic, we are a reliable partner who not only delivers packaging, but above all the assurance that it will all work.

Investments

At the turn of 2011 – 2012, more than 120 million crowns were invested in the construction of a new production hall meeting the demanding requirements for good production practice and the acquisition of technological equipment – a line for the production of LDPE films in widths of over 2 metres and adhesive films and an 8-colour printing machine with a long report. In 2013, another line for the production of HDPE films was purchased. These significant investment activities increase our production capabilities and expand our product range. In 2015, a laminating machine for the production of LAMITEN® laminated films was purchased. A significant competitive advantage is obtaining the Hygiene Management Certificate for the production of food films according to EN 15593:2008.

In 2016, extensive investments worth more than CZK 140 million were started. These included, in addition to the construction of a new production hall that meets the demanding requirements for the production of food films, the acquisition of new lines for the production of multi-layer films and lines for the further refinement of films. The investment included the acquisition of a 5-layer blowing line for the production of LDPE films, which was commissioned at the beginning of 2017. In the same year, a 10-colour printing machine was purchased.

In early 2019, a line for the production of laminate bags was commissioned, primarily for the PetFood LAMIBAG® segment.

At the end of 2021, we purchased another 10-colour flexo printing machine.

In 2023, we built another production hall for the production of flexible packaging.

A new addition to our machinery fleet is a welding machine for the production of bags with various design elements.
